
The Aviation Union announced the holding of a new edition of the International Parachuting Championship in the UAE 2025.
Today marks the start of the first edition of the International Parachuting Championship UAE, organized by the Aviation Union, with the participation of more than 200 world parachutists. According to the Aviation Union's statement, the tournament is one of the largest global sporting events in the field of free falling and is divided into two main stages. The first stage will take place at the "Klyaim" site with the longest indoor air tunnel in the world for free parachuting on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. There, competitions will be held in indoor free falling. The second stage will take place at the "SkyDive Dubai" site on January 25 and 26 and will include competitions in outdoor free falling.
The Aviation Union clarified that the competitions in indoor free falling will include team free falling with the participation of 16 parachutists, double team free falling, and team free falling with eight parachutists. Among the events will be races and various categories, including individual tracking, artistic jumps, and final jumps.

During the championship opening, participants included Yusuf Hassan al-Hamadi, Vice-President of the Aviation Union of the UAE, Mohamad Yusuf Abdel-Rahman, General Secretary of the Union, and Hussein Mohamad al-Hassani, Deputy General Director of "Klyaim" on Yas Island. According to al-Hamadi, the holding of the tournament in Abu Dhabi and Dubai under the auspices of the Union demonstrates the great efforts that the Union is making to develop and promote the sport at the international level, turning the potential of the UAE into reality.
